Casey: $5.21M on hand

Published by Tim McNulty on .

Incumbent Democrat Bob Casey finished the 3rd quarter with a bit more than $5 million in cash, his campaign reported today, which is about where he ended the second quarter. Today is the 3rd quarter reporting deadline, so we may have more from challenger Tom Smith too.

From the Casey campaign:

Philadelphia, PA - The Bob Casey for Senate campaign will report $5.21 million cash on hand on its third quarter FEC report after raising $1.517 million for the third quarter.

"Bob Casey enjoys strong support throughout Pennsylvania for his commonsense agenda of focusing on jobs, helping middle class families and fighting for Pennsylvania," said Casey Campaign Manager Larry Smar. "This is in sharp contrast to the extreme Tea Party agenda pushed by Tom Smith who is vying for the title of the top self-funder in the country. We will have the resources to finish the race strong and to compete with Tom Smith's millions and his fundraising support from national Tea Party groups."
