The two Mt. Lebanon men running for a seat in the state Senate representing the 37th District are awaiting election results in the South Hills.
As the polls closed, a small group started to gather in a ballroom at the Crowne Plaza hotel in Bethel Park to support D. Raja, 47, a businessman and former Mt. Lebanon commissioner.
D. Raja hasn't arrived, but his wife, Neeta is here, and so are their daughters Isana, 11, and Omisa, 8.
About 20 people gathered in the ballroom are watching national results come in on Fox News.
In Mt. Lebanon, Rep. Matt Smith supporters are gathering in a small room in the back of the Walnut Grill restaurant on Washington Road.
Mr. Smith, 40, who represents Mt. Lebanon in the 42nd state House District, his wife Eileen and their three children haven't arrived yet.
But about 30 people -- including some Mt. Lebanon school board members and commissioners -- are here snacking on pizza and watching elections results on CNN, now changed to MSNBC, on a pull-down screen.
