Pa Dem chair reacts to wins

We ran GOP chair Rob Gleason's full statement on the election results early this morning, and here's the full one from counterpart Jim Burn of the state's Democratic Party:

Philadelphia, PA - Pennsylvania Democrats earned historic victories in statewide races while performing well in downballot races. President Barack Obama, Senator Bob Casey, Kathleen Kane, Rob McCord, and Eugene DePasquale all won their races. Kathleen Kane became the first women and first Democrat to be elected Attorney General while Bob Casey fought back and defeated one of the largest self funders in history.

Pennsylvania Democratic Party Chairman Jim Burn issued the following statements on the victories in Pennsylvania.

"The President's decisive victory in Pennsylvania provided a clear path to victory on the national level. Pennsylvania voters showed a clear preference for the President's leadership and the policies that are moving the economy in the right direction for the middle class."

"Despite an unprecedented barrage of negative ads, Pennsylvania voters offered a clear sign of support for Senator Casey's diligent work on behalf of middle class and working families. Senator Casey has been a fighter for the middle class, opposing unfair trade deals, the outsourcing of jobs, and perserving Medicare for those that need it most. I look forward to Bob's second term so he can continue to fight for the people of Pennsylvania."

"Pennsylvania elected an independent Attorney General with the experience to tackle the tough issues facing Pennsylvania families. Her historic win makes her not only the first elected Democrat, but also the first elected female Attorney General. Kathleen Kane is a tough, fair prosecutor who will make our Commonwealth proud."

"In Eugene DePasquale, the Commonwealth elected an independent, tough, and fair advocate to be their next Auditor General. Eugene will get the results that taxpayers deserve and our economy requires."

"Pennsylvania voters overwhelmingly voted to re-elect Rob McCord as Pennsylvanian's Treasurer. Voters obviously reacted to Rob's first term of accomplishments and the results he's made for every taxpayer in Pennsylvania by dramatically reducing costs and increasing government efficiency."
