Damper on Schwartz guv talk?

Published by Tim McNulty on .

Even more 2014 speculation today . . .

National Journal reports that Demcratic Congressional Campaign Committee chair Steve Israel announced today that Allyson Schwartz has been appointed DCCC finance chair for the upcoming cycle, which could impact any plans she may have to run for governor. She was recruiting chair this cycle.

From their report:

The DCCC's chairman roster also included two members often mentioned as statewide candidates: Schwartz in Pennsylvania and [Colorado Rep. Jared] Peters in Michigan. Both have been discussed as potential 2014 gubernatorial contenders, and this may be an indication that they intend to stay in the House. Peters said after the briefing that it's too early to even start thinking about that, noting that he has yet to even take office representing his new congressional district.
