Peduto: $261K in cash

City Councilman Bill Peduto raised $329,671 at the end of last year and spent $68,729, leaving his campaign with $260,942 in cash to start January.

Large PAC contributions include $8,000 from county executive Rich Fitzgerald and $4,000 each from the Western Pennsylvania Laborers, WUF PAC, lobbyist Robert Ewanco and state Rep. Ed Gainey of Lincoln-Lemington.

Mr. Peduto raised $246,829 in individual contributions of $250 or more, including the primary cycle ceiling of $2,000 each from attorneys Dok Harris and Kevin Acklin, Mr. Ravensthl's two opponents in the November 2001.

Under legislation Mr. Peduto pushed in 2009 individuals can give mayoral candidates up to $2,000 in each election (or $4,000 counting both the primary and general elections) and PACs $4,000.
