F&M: Corbett approval at new low

Published by Tim McNulty on .

Gov. Tom Corbett's approval ratings "are the lowest for a sitting governor in the history of the Franklin and Marshall College Poll," according to findings released today, with only 26% of registered voters rating his job performance excellent or good.

Only 18% favor his lottery privatization moves and 53% approve privatizing alcohol sales. Majorities support gun control efforts, but the pollsters note majority support has been there for a a decade for universal background checks, limiting high-capacity magazines and assault weapons and permitting one handgun buy a month.
