Dowd releases police invoices

The P-G's Moriah Balingit had the story yesterday on the $6.1 million invoiced just last year in off-duty details by Pittsburgh Police (at the heart of a FBI probe) and today city Councilman Patrick Dowd released all the invoice totals from 2009-2012. Read em all here, from the 1613 Saloon to Zottola Construction (and plenty of other work at cultural events, strip clubs, construction sites and so on).

As big as the totals are -- as Moriah noted -- they still don't cover all those officers who are paid directly and off the books.
