War on Women in Pa?

Published by Tim McNulty on .

A Public Policy Polling study due later this morning will supposedly put Gov. Tom Corbett 11 points behind three leading Democratic challengers (Treasurer Rob McCord, former congressman/admiral Joe Sestak and US Rep Allyson Schwartz). The guv's approval rating looks to be a paltry 33%.

Schwartz wants the race to be on economic issues but Politico is putting a culture wars spin on it:

Pennsylvania Republican Gov. Tom Corbett once said women who didn't want to view images of a fetus they were seeking to abort could simply close their eyes. His potential 2014 opponent, Democratic Rep. Allyson Schwartz, worked for a family planning clinic for more than a dozen years.

The "war on women" may be headed to Pennsylvania.
