Another bad Corbett poll

Published by James O'Toole on .

Pennyslvania Democrats are trumpeting the Philadelphia City Paper's report of a new survey, by the GOP polling firm, Public Opinion Strategies, that reinforces the weak polling profile of Gov. Tom Corbett a little more than a year before his re-election test.  The survey, by Public Opinion Strategies, found his approval rating at only 40 percent, compared to the 53 percent who disapprove of the job he is doing as governor.  When asked whether Mr. Corbett deserved re-election, 65 percent said no, and just 28 percent that he does deserve another term.

The City Paper said they did not know who commissioned the survey, but it offered the advice that the governor might improve his standing by attacking the teachers' union in the troubled Philadelphia school district.
