Mayoral candidates speak

So far, the candidates for Pittsburgh mayor, have tentatively agreed on four forums or joint appearances in the weeks between now and the mayoral election.

Sonya Toler, press secretary for the campaign of Democratic nominee Bill Peduto, said that her understanding is that independent candidate Les Ludwig would be invited to all of the events with the exception of an Oct. 16 event at the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public and International Affairs.  Mr. Peduto and Republican nominee Josh Wander both hold degrees from GSPIA.  Looks like just one of them, at WTAE, is likely to be televised.

From the Peduto campaign, here's the list so far: 

Monday, October 14, 10 a.m. - noon. 31st Ward Seniors meet the candidatesLincoln Place Presbyterian Church, Basement 1202 Muldowney Avenue

Tuesday, October 15, 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Hazelwood Initiative Candidates Forum, 5344 Second Avenue.

Wednesday, October 16, 7 - 9 p.m. GSPIA grads Peduto & Wander will discuss how they leverage their GSPIA education in their careers. This is not a discussion of issues in the race.
