Peduto victory party

Good morning. Busy day today with Gov. Tom Corbett's reelection kickoff but first . . .

1. Bill Peduto is finally mayor.  Here's the lead-all from Jim O'Toole and Moriah Balingit.

2. Two new Peduto allies (Dan Gilman and Deb Gross) won City Council seats and another (Natalia Rudiak) won a second term.

3a. While most of us were sleeping, Democrat Jack McVay conceded the close state Superior Court race to Republican Vic Stabile.

3b. Republicans flipped Jim Burn's soon to be vacated county council seat, and the four county judges elected were Bush, Cozza, Statler and Tranquilli.

4. Speaking of county council, finance chair Bill Robinson is doing his usual thing of introducing a million bills, including one to give the August Wilson Center $500,000.

5. Steelers safety Troy Polamalu has an op-ed in the P-G today pleading for economic and infrastructure help for struggling American Samoa.
