Corbett's up on radio

Published by James O'Toole on .

Gov. Tom Corbett's official re-election announcment came relatively early _  just under a year before the 2014 general election _ and his advertising is off to a similarly early start.

Another campaign alerted Early Returns to records showing that the governor's team would be airing radio spots on two Pittsburgh stations and one in Harrisburg starting today and continuing through Nov. 20.

Mike Barley, Mr. Corbett's campaign manager, confirmed the plans, a little over $15,000 combined in the Pittsburgh market, and just over $4,000 in Harrisburg.  He described it as a modest buy to reinforce the message of the campaign rollout while reminding voters that Mr Corbett is seeking another term.  Lots more to come.
