1. An Allegheny County councilman has a new job working for a state rep, even though the county charter bars councilors from holding jobs as personal staff members for elected officials.

2. The bankrupt August Wilson Center has up to $10 million in outstanding debt and cannot be saved, a court-appointed conservator reported yesterday. Foundations are secretively working on alternative plans.

3. Gov. Tom Corbett released an energy plan yesterday that offers support for all energy forms but has few specifics or recommendations, writes the P-G's energy ace Anya Litvak. It also uses some out of date figures on coal/gas usage.

4. Local anti-abortion activists will brave snow and a high of 14 degrees today at the March for Life in D.C.

5. A documentary about legendary Pirate Dock Ellis -- with music from Adam Horovitz of the Beastie Boys -- is among the most buzzed-about movies at the Sundance Film Festival.
