Over at PoliticsPa, Nick Field has an interesting post spotlighting the fact that Lt. Jim Cawley collected quite a few more votes than his boss, Tom Corbett, in their respective GOP primaries Tuesday.
Field notes that "26,868 GOP voters either wrote in another candidate or left the ballot for Governor blank. Overall, Corbett underperformed Cawley by 7%.''
That can't be a positive sign for Gov. Corbett, but Field also points out that Corbett's undervote is not unprecedented.
"In 2006, Gov. Ed Rendell’s undervote was 12% as he ran unopposed for renomination,'' he reports.
