Raja announcement Thurs morn

As we noted in our Chuck McCullough post yesterday, GOP Mt. Lebo commissioner/businessman D. Raja is expected to make his county executive announcement tomorrow. Details are out now on his 10 a.m. press conference at the Ewart Building in the Cultural District Downtown.

From the email to the press, it looks like his campaign team will include former Pat Toomey campaign staffers Mark Harris and Dan Alfaro. Raja's website launches tomorrow as well.

Pittsburgh, PA – On Thursday, February 17 at 10:00 a.m., Mt. Lebanon Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer of Computer Enterprises Inc. (CEI), D. Raja will officially announce his intentions regarding the race for Allegheny County Chief Executive at the Ewart Building located in the Cultural District of Downtown Pittsburgh.

Background
Raja co‐founded CEI, an Allegheny County technology company that now employs hundreds of people, out of the spare bedroom of his South Hills apartment. CEI is a leading national firm providing cutting edge IT solutions to businesses through the United States. A graduate of the University of Pittsburgh, Raja received a MBA with honors from Carnegie Mellon University.

Raja is an elected Commissioner in Mt. Lebanon and served as President of the Commission in 2010. During this term, Raja has cut local taxes while maintaining excellent services. Dedicated to his community, Raja worked with a group of local citizens to save the Denis Theater in downtown Mt. Lebanon and to setup the Denis Theater Foundation to keep the historic landmark standing.

Raja lives in Mt. Lebanon with his wife (Dr.) Neeta and daughters Isana and Omisa.
