New Chamber ad on Sestak
The union-friendly legislation dubbed card-check -- which has been stillborn for several months now -- had a big role early in this Senate campaign, when it was one of the factors that caused Arlen Specter to lurch rightward and then leftward into the Democratic ranks. Joe Sestak has long signaled his support for legislation making it easier for unions to organize, but it hasn't been much of an issue this fall, perhaps because the GOP is wary of turning off blue-collar swing voters.
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce apparently has no such fear, in this ad about "the unfair scheme to grow unions," which "would allow government to make decisions for small businesses."
