Moments tick by on gov's shale panel
Gov. Corbett said yesterday that he was "determined that Pennsylvania not lose this moment" on Marcellus Shale, and appointed a commission headed by Lt. Gov. Jim Cawley to oversee working with the natural gas industry on business and environmental concerns.
Scott Detrow has the names of the panel, packed with energy executives, here.
We know the governor is against taxing the industry, which he reiterated in his speech yesterday. But if you need any more evidence of that, consider this: he gave the commission 120 days to complete its work. Counting today, there are 115 days before the budget deadline.
