It's been a quiet week for Rick Santorum, leaving us at your World Rick Tracking Headquarters scratching our collective noggin for the reason. Here's a few theories: 1. It's Holy Week, something we reckon the former senator takes rather seriously. 2. He's getting the behind the scenes act together for his newly formed semi-exploratory-money-raising committee and doing a lot of dialing for dollars. 3. He's resting up for an insane week of travel to follow.

Yep, RS is leaving on a jet plane starting Easter Monday for a hectic week. His newly released schedule shows five events in Iowa Monday through Wednesday, then he's back to D.C. Thursday to give a speech on his foreign policy credentials at the National Press Club. Friday he's "home" to Pittsburgh to speak at the NRA Convention then to New Hampshire to speak Friday night and Saturday.

So hang tight Rick lovers, he'll be back to news-making soon.

Polling: Gallup shows that Santorum is recognized by 43 percent of Republicans nationally with a "positive intensity score" of 13, both about middle of the road for the possible presidential aspirants polled. Sarah Palin is the most recognized of the bunch, while the cuddly Mike Huckabee is the top positive intensity scorer.
