Fitzgerald's 3rd TV spot released
Democratic county executive candidate Rich Fitzgerald is out with his third TV commercial, and no it doesn't feature his gigantic brood this time.
It goes over his economic/tax pitch, which includes pointing out that county property tax rates weren't raised and the city-county 911 merger was completed during his decade on county council, and that he'll fight the implementation of new property valuations, which may lead to tax increases on some later this year. (He doesn't mention the drink tax -- that will be left presumably to opponent Mark Patrick Flaherty.)
Here's the spot, with the text from the Fitzgerald camp after the jump:
Rich Fitzgerald: My company makes businesses more energy efficient and cuts costs, that's one way to save...
Rich Fitzgerald: And here's another, as County Council President I saved millions by streamlining services like 911.
Rich Fitzgerald: Never voted for a property tax hike.
Rich Fitzgerald: As County Executive, I'll fight the court's reassessment scheme.
Rich Fitzgerald: Post county spending online so you can keep an eye on your money.
Rich Fitzgerald: And diversify our economy to save and create jobs.
Rich Fitzgerald: That's my savings plan.
