Fitzgerald debuts endorsement ad
The Rich Fitzgerald camp has a new TV ad out combining two of the Democrat's biggest strategies throughout his primary fight with fellow executive candidate Mark Patrick Flaherty: trumpeting his endorsements and hitting Flaherty's private/public Marcellus Shale development plans.
The new spot leans heavily on the P-G editorial board's endorsement of Fitzgerald on Sunday. We've mentioned the natural gas debate in two recent stories on the campaign, here and here.
Here's the spot with a transcript by the campaign after the jump:
Voice Over: That's the Post-Gazette's take on Mark Patrick Flaherty's plan to subsidize gasdrilling companies.
Voice Over: There's more. Flaherty, could leave the county "too cozy with the industry and more exposed financially".
Voice Over: Favoring gas companies over taxpayers. That's Mark Flaherty.
Voice Over: No wonder labor groups, county Democrats, and the Post-Gazette endorsed Rich Fitzgerald. The Post-Gazette said it best, "Rich Fitzgerald is head and shoulders above the competition".
