Women's Shelter needs volunteers

Published by Tim McNulty on .

This isn't political as such but it's for a great cause . . . maybe some of you done with campaigns have some time on your hands, and can use that brawn built-up from posting yard signs. From the Women's Center & Shelter of Greater Pgh:

Your assistance is urgently needed!

Women’s Center & Shelter is receiving dressers for the shelter bedrooms and we need your help moving them. This generous donation is made possible by Construction Junction, promoting conservation through the reuse of building materials.

If you are available Monday, May 23 at 1:15 and/or Wednesday May 25 at 12:45, we need your help to move the dressers. We will form a human chain to move the old dressers out and bring the new dressers in.

Volunteers must be physically capable of lifting and pushing at least 50 pounds. There will be 2 dollies available to assist with this process. Please bring a dolly if you have one.

If you are able to assist us, please contact Barbara Nicholas, Development Director, This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. .

Thank you for your help!

Shirl Regan,
Executive Director
