PA's soon-to-be First Puppies
In what one hopes will be an on-going series of adorable puppy pictures, the Inquirer has the latest on the state's soon-to-be First Puppies.
The paper reports that Gov. Tom Corbett and his wife will be adopting two Airedale puppies in mid-July.
They've picked out the three-week-old pooches, a brother and sister, from a commonwealth breeder, but can't legally bring them to the mansion until they're at least eight weeks old.
The Corbetts are well-known as dog enthusiasts, with the governor often talking about their previous Airedale, Daisy, on the campaign trail. She passed away before he began last year's campaign, but he would take her on walks by the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg during his time as attorney general.
