The city's iBurgh app for reporting potholes and other nuisances (at left) is dead, but the Ravenstahl administration will be firing up something similar in mid-September.

Starting Sept. 15 the reporting page for 311 complaints on the official city webpage will allow users to mark their complaints with GPS coordinates and photos (just like iBurgh did). It will not be a stand-alone app for smartphones like its predecessor, but users will be able to file complaints by phone by pulling up the webpage on their mobile browsers.

We expect further details and related tech announcements in coming weeks from the mayor's office and his Pittsburgh Management & Performance System (PittMAPS) department.
