Daily Santorum: Day 2 of Pa swing

Published by Tim McNulty on .

SantorumRick Santorum is meeting with reporters in Harrisburg this morning -- perhaps we'll update later if something happens -- but in the meantime here are stories from Scranton Times-Tribune and the Wilkes-Barre Times-Leader on a campaign stop in Luznerne County last night.

Nationally, the news about RS continues to be the gay "jihad" comments we mentioned yesterday. Must have been a slow news day in post-Irene New York, because here's a non-localized story from the NY Daily News on it.

UPDATE: Santorum is second from the bottom -- at 4% -- in the latest PPP poll in South Carolina. The other Rick (Perry) is the big winner at 36%, which is 20 points ahead of 2nd place finisher Mitt Romney.

UPDATE 2: Speaking of Perry, Santorum went after him on a number of fronts before reporters in Harrisburg. “We’ll see how conservative Rick Perry really is. He hasn’t been in a debate yet. There are alot of things about his record that will give conservative pause.” (PoliticsPa)
