Home of the Purple Hooter
We've been meaning to post this bio video of state Rep. Eugene Depasquale, D-York, for a few days now. He's the grandson of late Pittsburgh councilman "Jeep" Depasquale, and the spot has a nice old shot of the longtime CMU watering hole Panther Hollow Inn, which his family owns.
He's looking to be the next Pittsburgh native Democrat to serve as auditor general -- the state's current fiscal watchdog Jack Wagner will be term-limited out of office next year. In the spot he promises to audit possible water contamination from Marcellus Shale drilling and says, "if Gov. Corbett proposes any intitiative that makes middle class people work harder for less, while rewarding special interests, I will stand against it."
