Follow Pgh redistricting hearing
I'm tweeting the Pittsburgh/Duquesne Law hearing on state redistricting lines here at Twitter
The main local angle seems to be fear that the South Hills will lose the 22nd District held by Chelsa Wagner. Since the Pittsburgh area has lost so much population and eastern Pa has gained it, the city was already targeted for changes. Months ago the common wisdom was the least senior rep -- Adam Ravenstahl, the younger brother of the mayor -- would be districted out. but now that Wagner is in the Democratic driver's seat to win the Allegheny County Controller's race (she's facing off with GOP candidate Bob Howard) her seat is thought to be in the crosshairs instead.
UPDATE: Chris Briem reminds that the county is in danger of losing two seats, not one.
UPDATE 2: Here's my breaking news story.
