PITTSBURGH, PA -- NOTE: Over the next 33 days, the Raja campaign will be highlighting the trouble with Rich Fitzgerald's record and actions.

Question for Rich:

1.The county is in a fiscal mess. Why ask taxpayers to foot the bill for politician pay raises?

Fitzgerald proposed to include pay raise for elected row offices in late 2009 for the 2010 budget. He was looking to raise the pay of the County controller, treasurer and Sheriff. The County Controller at the time said he wouldn't take the raise. County Executive Onorato pledged to block the effort.

"These are tough financial times. Real people are suffering. How one can even consider raising the pay of elected officials at a time like this is truly unbelievable." – Said Raja Campaign Manager James Genovese.
