Toomey gives weekly GOP Address

Pennsylvania Sen. Pat Toomey today gave the GOP's weekly address, talking tax reform and the Supercommittee.

"Our tax code has to go," he said. "Every bipartisan commission that has looked at our deficit crisis has come to the same conclusion: Pro-growth tax reform is a vital part of the solution." 

Sen. Toomey goes on to pitch his Supercommittee plan as one designed to encourage Americans to open new businesses. The bipartisan group has until Wednesday to cut $1.5 trillion from the nation's deficit over the next decade, or $1.2 trillion of automatic cuts will kick in, half of which will come from domestic spending and half from defense.
