BOSTON (AP) — Caroline Kennedy will present the eighth annual John F. Kennedy New Frontier awards to the mayor of Pittsburgh and the chief executive of a nonprofit health organization.
The ceremony will take place Monday evening at Harvard University’s Institute of Politics at the John F. Kennedy School of Government.
The awards were created by the John F. Kennedy Library Foundation and the Institute of Politics to honor Americans under the age of 40 who are changing their communities and the country with their commitment to public service.
This year’s recipients are Pittsburgh Mayor Luke Ravenstahl and Jennifer Staple-Clark, founder and chief executive of Unite for Sight. That global health delivery organization helps communities improve eye health and eliminate preventable blindness.
