Paul: P-G delivery boy
Rep. Ron Paul preaches frugality in government and practices it on the campaign trail.
This week he was staying at a perfectly nice but modest Hampton Inn in Bow. N.H., just outside Concord. At the hotel's free breakfast buffet the morning of the campaign final debate, the Green Tree native encountered a writer from the same neck of the woods. The Texan apparently guards his breakfast privacy.
In Iowa, he upbraided one reporter who tried to ask him a few questions over his Post Toasties. But he was pleasant enough Sunday as he hearkened briefly back to his Pennsylvania upbringing. hearing that he was speaking to a Post-Gazette reporter, he smiled and said, "I used to deliver a lot of those papers, and the Press, too.''
