Exit poll data out

Published by Tim McNulty on .

Now that the N.H. polls are closed exit polling is starting to come out, which should give us something to do while watching who lands at 2, 3 and beyond.

Here's Fox, and here's CBS News.

An emerging story: Romney cleaned up among Republicans, and Paul among independents (with Romney and Huntsman close behind). Among Repubs Romney had 45% in CBS poll, Santorum/Paul with 15%.

Romney even won among those who say they're "very conservative," one point ahead of Santorum (30-29%) in CBS exit poll. He even beat Santorum on social issues among conservatives.

Santorum also does worse among Catholics (10%) than Protestants (13%).
