Rothfus gets Toomey nod
Now that Mike Turzai's out of the race there's no reason for Pat Toomey to be equivocal: he made his endorsement of Keith Rothfus official today in the 12th congressional district (where there are no other Republicans in the running that we know of).
Toomey's statement on the Edgeworth attorney (a volunteer in his 2004 primary bid against Arlen Specter) is after the jump:
ALLENTOWN, PA -- Today, Senator Toomey proudly endorsed Republican congressional candidate Keith Rothfus for U.S. Congress in the 12th Congressional District.
"I am proud to endorse Keith Rothfus for the 12th Congressional District. Keith is the type of conservative leader we need in Washington to get our economy moving again and create the jobs we need so badly in PA. Working together we can roll back excessive spending, taxes, and regulatory burdens that are crippling our economy. I look forward to having him as an ally in Congress," said Senator Pat Toomey.
"I'm thrilled and humbled with Senator Toomey's endorsement. I look forward fighting for the same values and job-creatingpolicies as Senator Toomey is in Washington," said Keith Rothfus.
