Actor Kal Penn of "Harold & Kumar" fame (and a former White House advisor) will host a campaign forum in Pittsburgh tomorrow on Kal Penneconomic issues facing young voters.

From OFA:

PITTSBURGH – Former Associate Director of the White House Office of
Public Engagement and actor Kal Penn will host a roundtable for
Pittsburgh area young professionals to discuss what is at stake in this
election for young Americans. President Obama is fighting for all young
Americans by ensuring a job-creating economy with a growing middle
class, where hard work pays off, responsibility is rewarded, and
everyone from Main Street to Wall Street does their fair share and plays
by the same rules.

Full statement from the Obama camp after the jump:

PITTSBURGH – Former Associate Director of the White House Office of Public Engagement and actor Kal Penn will host a roundtable for Pittsburgh area young professionals to discuss what is at stake in this election for young Americans. President Obama is fighting for all young Americans by ensuring a job-creating economy with a growing middle class, where hard work pays off, responsibility is rewarded, and everyone from Main Street to Wall Street does their fair share and plays by the same rules.

With many young people across the country struggling to find work, President Obama believes that inaction is not an option. That's why he's put out a plan to create jobs starting right now, and why he's fighting for Congress to act on it.

While President Obama is urging Congress to pass his plan to create jobs, and put cops, firefighters, teachers, and construction workers back to work, Mitt Romney has decided we need fewer jobs for middle class Americans, not more. At a campaign stop in Iowa last Friday, Romney made clear what is at stake this election when he promised to cut jobs for firefighters, police, and teachers if elected. Watch video of Romney's comments HERE.

Nearly nine months ago, President Obama gave a speech before Congress where he laid out the American Jobs Act, with ideas to cut taxes to help small businesses hire and grow, rebuild American infrastructure, create pathways back to work for Americans looking for jobs, and cut taxes for every American worker and their families – all paid for within the President's long-term deficit reduction plan. The plan would create 1.9 million jobs, according to an independent economist. Mitt Romney and Congressional Republicans refuse to put partisanship aside and support the American Jobs Act to help get more Americans back to work.
