PA budget breakdown released
Nearly a week after the governor and Republican legislative leaders announced that they had reached agreement on a state budget framework, the first look at what could be the final numbers for that spending plan are now available.
A Senate Republican spokesman sent out a copy of a budget spreadsheet to reporters a few minutes ago, and it's embedded below.
A quick glance shows that higher education -- both state-supported and state-owned universities -- would be flat-funded (as opposed to the governor's proposed cut), and $100 million in block grants for public schools would be restored.
The proposed block grant for county human services doesn't appear to be reflected in the hot-off-the-presses outline, but checking into that.
