Poll: Sestak within 6; Onorato up big
A little late getting to this today but an Allentown Morning Call/Muhlenberg College poll from over the weekend shows Rep. Joe Sestak within just 6 points -- 48-42 -- of Sen. Arlen Specter in the Democratic senatorial primary. If this isn't an outlier it would show a major bump for Sestak now that he has hit the television airwaves. This race may indeed come down to the wire in the final two weeks.
In the Democratic primary for governor, the poll shows a lot of undecideds -- 40 percent -- but with Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato still maintaining a commanding lead: 41 percent, with Anthony Williams at 8 percent, Joe Hoeffel at 5 percent and Jack Wagner at 4 percent.
The poll was taken April 28-May 1 with a 5 percent margin for error. Full results below.
