Internal poll: Critz ahead by 8

A poll of the 12th District special election race conducted last week on behalf of Mark Critz's campaign and obtained today by the Post-Gazette shows the Democrat with an 8-point lead over Republican Tim Burns: 45-37. This was an improvement for Critz from a 41-38 lead in a mid-April survey done by the same firm, the Global Strategy Group.

Other findings: Critz's favorability rating increased from 28 to 39 percent, and he's now known by 60 percent of likely voters. Burns' unfavorable rating increased from 8 to 24 percent. The memo is available below:PA 12 Survey Memo 5.3.10
