High Noon
The anti-Obamacare outfit Americans for Prosperity and tea party groups are throwing "Honk No" events outside district offices tomorrow at noon:
What to do: Drive around the block for about 15 minutes with a bumper sticker or sign on your car, letting people know why you are honking. Register at http://honkno.com/ to receive a free bumper sticker, and download a sign to tape in your car window. For more information, and to find the district office nearest you, please visit http://honkno.com/.
Meanwhile health reform advocates at MoveOn.org and Organizing For America are doing their own event at noon tomorrow outside Jason Altmire's office on McLean street in Aliquippa:
As Congress prepares to vote on historical health care reform legislation, local residents will hold an event on Tuesday, March 16, to urge Representative Altmire to vote yes on health care reform. A new MoveOn.org Political Action ad airing this week in Representative Altmire's district highlights Pennsylvania's rising health insurance rates and asks Representative Altmire to stand up to the health insurance industry and win health care reform for struggling Americans. A similar version of the ad by SEIU and HCAN will also be running in the district.
Here's a TV ad MoveOn is running locally:
