Specter's rash

Some readers and a few of us at the PG have been wondering if Sen. Arlen Specter is having another health scare, with the odd looking rash visible on his head today at the event with President Obama (shown above, Specter wtih Mayor Luke Ravenstahl, photo by Post-Gazette's Robin Rombach). Spokeswoman Kate Kelly, with typical Specter camp medical precision, assures us it's nothing to be concerned about: "Senator Specter is being treated for some benign lesions on his forehead, known as actinic keratosis, using a prescription cream called Aldara. This is a common procedure and the treatment is going as planned."
