Published by Tim McNulty on .

For the second day in a row, two different polls are agreeing on the exact lead held by the GOP candidate in a statewide race.

Yesterday two polls found Pat Toomey leading Joe Sestak by 9 in the Senate race -- today, it's Tom Corbett up 10 over Dan Onorato for guv. Susquehanna was earlier, and this afternoon there's more from Rasmussen:

Republican Tom Corbett remains ahead in Pennsylvania's gubernatorial contest with his support still hovering around 50%.

A new Rasmussen Reports telephone survey in the state finds Corbett earning 48% of the vote, while his Democratic challenger, Allegheny County Executive Dan Onorato, earns 38% support.  Five percent (5%) prefer some other candidate, and nine percent (9%) are undecided.

Last month, Corbett, the state's attorney general, led Onorato by a 50% to 39% margin.

In surveys dating back to February, support for Corbett has ranged from 45% to 52%.  In the same surveys, Onorato has earned anywhere from 26% to 39% of the vote.
