Ras: Gov race "solid R"

Tom Corbett has widened his lead over Dan Onorato to 13 points in the latest Rasmussen Reports poll, at 50-37%.

This follows similar results yesterday from Reuters showing the GOP candidate with a 15-point lead. Rasmussen now considers the governor's mansion a "solid Republican" pickup.

This race switches to Solid Republican in the Rasmussen Reports Election 2010 Gubernatorial Scorecard.

Solid majorities of those who support both candidates say they are certain of their vote.

Corbett earns 85% support from the Republicans, while Onorato is backed by 69% of his party. Corbett leads among voters not affiliated with either major political party 47% to 21%.
