Dahlkemper's new anti DC ad
Here's a thought experiment that will put you, if you dare, into the heads of running-scared incumbent Democrats these days.
First read this sentence: "I didn't create the mess in Washington, but I'm working every day to solve it."
Now consider: Is the Democrat saying that referring to a mess created by George W. Bush or Barack Obama?
It sure seems like Kathy Dahlkemper -- who says that at the end of her latest TV ad, her second of the past couple weeks -- is referring to Obama (or at least Democrats), as the ad also mentions the GOP touchstone of illegal immigration, as well as her efforts to support small business. And running against Democratic leadership is de rigueur these days -- even by Democratic incumbents -- as readers here well know.
Why run scared? For instance, analyst Stu Rothenberg moved his rating on the race to "Toss Up/Lean Republican" today.
