Manchin raising big bucks

WVa Gov. Joe Manchin has raised an impressive $418,000 for his special US Senate race, Politico reports, while deep-pocked GOP hopeful John Raese has loaned his campaign at least $320,000.

The reason the Manchin tally is impressive is federal campaign giving is capped (for individuals) at $4,800 for each cycle. He announced his run less than a month ago.
