GOP officials have tapped a former Plum school board member as their pick in the special election for state Sen. Sean Logan's seat. From the party:
HARRISBURG– Chairman Rob Gleason is pleased to announce that conferees from Pennsylvania’s 45th Senatorial District have selected Paul Olijar as the Republican in the upcoming November 2nd general election.
“It is an exciting time to be a Republican during this election season, and our momentum will continue with Paul Olijar as our candidate to lead our Party in the 45th Senatorial District,” Gleason said. “At a time when Democrats in Harrisburg are pushing a liberal agenda of big government and higher taxes, Paul Olijar will be a fresh voice for this district. He will stand up for fiscal responsibility and put his community first, which is exactly what we need to help restore fiscal accountability in Harrisburg.
“Congratulations to Paul Olijar in gaining the Republican nomination for Senator in the 45th District. I am confident that he will work incredibly hard to win the upcoming election.”
