A drumbeat, yes. A gong, no.

The Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee is out with another ad denouncing Pat Toomey on trade policy and China, though this one is mercifully without gong sounds, replacing them with holiday-appropriate music that sounds like something from John Carpenter.
