Oliverio (mostly) concedes
Looks like Democrat Mike Oliverio won't be asking for a recount in WV-1, unless something comes up in the official tallying of votes.
CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The tight race for the state's 1st Congressional District seat apparently ended with Democrat Mike Oliverio's congratulatory call to Republican David McKinley.
Oliverio is unlikely to ask for a recount, according to a press release from his campaign office.
"Only a substantial shift during canvassing would prompt a recount request," Oliverio said in the release.
And here's Ry Rivard on questions about the state's next election for governor. Senate President Earl Ray Tomblin will take over as soon as Joe Manchin leaves for DC, but there is debate over whether he should serve out the two years left in Manchin's term or stand for a special election before 2012.
