Published by Tim McNulty on .

In a show of fundraising strength, Anthony Williams will be the second gubernatorial candidate to go on TV, following Dan Onorato last week, PoliticsPa's Alex Roarty reports:

The Democratic Philadelphia state senator’s gubernatorial campaign will debut its first TV ads Wednesday in all media markets except Philadelphia, according to Dawn Chavous, Williams’ campaign manager. They will hit the air in the state’s largest media market early next week, and the campaign plans to keep them running through the May 18 primary, she said.

The ad blitz will feature two spots, each 30 seconds long. A campaign source said each focuses on introducing Williams’ “core” issues, such as his support for school choice, job creation and cracking down on illegal guns.
