Burns loans self another $155K
Going into the home stretch of his nationally anticipated special election fight in the 12th District,
Republican businessman Tim Burns has pumped another $155,000 into his campaign, according to a financial update it filed yesterday.
The loan, forwarded on Saturday, is in addition to the $221,000 he has already put into the race, making for a total of $376,000 in self-funding, or more than half of the $666,141 he has raised in total.
Incidentially, among those listed giving money (the primary ceiling of $2,400) to Democrat Mark Critz in his latest report was James L. Brooks, one of the creators of "The Simpsons" (and Mr. Burns, right).
