Kelly loans self more $$$

Butler car dealer Mike Kelly has now put more of his own money into the District 3 GOP race than fellow big-spender Paul Huber, a retired Meadville factory owner.

On Monday Kelly loaned his campaign another $50,000, according to FEC records, on top of the $100,000 he pumped into the race Friday. So added to the $165,000 he self-loaned earlier, that makes $315,000 Kelly has put into the campaign.

As of May 3 Huber had put $300,000 of his money into the six-candidate GOP race to unseat Dem incumbent Kathy Dahlkemper.
