Mark Critz has been appointed to the House Armed Services committee. From Speaker Nancy Pelosi's office:
Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced today that the House Democratic Caucus has approved committee appointments for Congressman Mark Critz, who was sworn in last week. Congressman Critz will serve on the House Armed Services Committee and the House Committee on Small Business.
“The Armed Services Committee and the Small Business Committee will be well served by the knowledge and experience Congressman Critz brings with him to his new assignments,” Speaker Pelosi said. “Following in the footsteps of his predecessor, the late Congressman Jack Murtha, Congressman Critz will be a strong advocate on behalf of our veterans and our men and women in uniform. As an independent voice, he will be a great resource in Congress as we continue to create jobs and ensure economic opportunity for all Americans.”
“I’m pleased and excited to be named to both the House Armed Services Committee and the House Committee on Small Business.
“Western Pennsylvania is home to thousands of proud service members and thousands of workers in the defense industry that support our warfighters. As a member of the House Armed Services Committee, I will work diligently to ensure that our men and women in uniform have the resources they need both here at home and across the globe.”
“Throughout my travels in the district, I heard time and time again that jobs and the economy were the top priority for individuals and communities in our region. As a member of the House Committee on Small Business, I will work hard to ensure that jobs and the economy remain my priority and a priority of this Congress.”
