T-Murph orders an MTO

Gas pump photo ops are all the rage these days for members of Congress to show they are super serious about reducing gas prices -- as they endorse policies that don't actually reduce gas prices, which can be done in the short term only by peace in the Middle East.
Rep. Tim Murphy, R-Upper St. Clair, is going to a Sheetz in Robinson on Friday and he's inviting his camera-wielding friends in the media to join him as he discusses his new energy bill, which opens up more offshore drilling and uses the revenues -- which are projected to be a fraction of what Murphy claims -- to fund infrastructure projects and other priorities.
Remember: Chipotle mayo is always a fine choice on your MTO. Release below the jump.
Friday May 20 at 11:15 a.m. Congressman Tim Murphy (PA-18) will hold a media availability and will discuss rising gas prices and the recently introduced Infrastructure Jobs and Energy Independence Act with drivers at the Robinson Township Sheetz station. The bill is the centerpiece of the work done by the bipartisan House Energy Working Group and aims to reduce America’s dependence on foreign oil and create millions of new jobs without raising taxes or adding to the national debt.
The Infrastructure Jobs and Energy Independence Act is the only bipartisan, comprehensive American energy solution offered in the House. The legislation dedicates new federal revenues from expanded offshore exploration leases and royalties toward repairing America’s roads and bridges, investing in renewable energy sources and clean energy technologies, environmental restoration, and reducing the deficit.
